Sometimes as a wife and mother, it can be difficult to pull myself away from the daily grind to do something for me. While I know pouring into my own gifts and interests is important, it’s often times easier said than done! That’s why I was so glad I made the time to attend the Thrive Together Bloggers conference. It was a time for me to get away and focus on learning and growing, while meeting some amazing friends along the way. The conference was held in Austin, Texas and I quickly fell in love with the Lonestar State!
There was so much to love about Austin, but one thing that stood out was the great food and restaurant choices. When my friends and I went searching for a meal that would be truly Austin, the Josephine House delivered.
I grabbed my girls, Angela Haley of Seersucker and Sweet Tea and Neisha of Neisha Loves It, and headed to the Josephine House in historic Clarksville, a highly recommended spot.
We quickly fell in love with the beautiful cottage location. The place was so cute and intimate, catching our attention with the marble bar, white walls, and clean decor. I loved that we could peek into the kitchen and watch them preparing the food, each plate looking like a masterpiece.
The back patio was to die for! This space was so well thought out and perfect any time of the year with the space heaters, cafe lights, and cozy seating options with comfy pillows and Mexican blankets.
The service, wine selection, and menu were great. The food was fresh and creative, giving me a hard time deciding what to order. I ordered the quinoa bowl with fresh shrimp- something hard to find back home in Atlanta!
Overall, our time at the Josephine House was a great experience. This would make the perfect spot for a brunch date or private event.
I hope to visit Austin again soon and when I do, I will be dining again at the Josephine House!
